The 80-year-old Cuban leader temporararily ceded power to his younger brother Raul on July 31st, two weeks after the operation.
Castro told the Communist Party daily Granma he was recovering at a satisfactory rhythm and planned to receive visitors, apparently referring to some of the heads of state and government who will traveling to the summit of Nonaligned Nations next week.
