Thomas Carroll, a senior who usually starts at right end, practiced with the first team at left end, with redshirt freshman Calais Campbell backing him up.
That leaves redshirt freshman Eric Moncur to start at right end for the second week in a row, against Temple on Saturday. Carroll missed the game against Duke with a sore shoulder.
Junior receiver Darnell Jenkins also participated in some drills after missing a week with a sprained ankle. Coker said he anticipates Jenkins will be ready to go against Temple.
For the first time since before Tennessee's visit, defensive end Ray McDonald practiced in shoulder pads. He sat out of team drills but ran with the team, participated in individual drills and banged into the blocking sled. McDonald underwent surgery the Monday after the victory against the Vols to repair cartilage and ligament damage in his right knee. "If it doesn't swell, we'll just keep increasing the activity," Meyer said. "We'll just watch him closely and try to get back to game shape."
QB Chris Leak was not limited throwing the ball despite a bruised right shoulder, and Meyer said his starting quarterback looked good. Conversely, tailback DeShawn Wynn practiced, but Meyer said he favored his injured shoulder throughout the workout.
